Description We are seeking an experienced Tax Preparer to support a busy accounting team during tax season. This position will be responsible for preparing accurate federal and state tax returns while managing multiple client files and deadlines.

Responsibilities:

+ Prepare federal and state individual and business tax returns

+ Review financial statements, prior-year returns, and supporting tax documentation

+ Enter and maintain tax information using CCH tax software

+ Prepare individual, partnership, S corporation, and corporate returns as applicable

+ Identify missing information and follow up on documentation needed to complete returns

+ Assist with tax research and resolve discrepancies

+ Maintain organized and accurate client files

+ Work closely with CPAs, tax managers, and accounting professionals

+ Complete assigned returns accurately and within established deadlines Requirements Requirements of the Position

+ CCH tax software experience preferred

+ Previous professional tax preparation experience required

+ Experience preparing federal and state tax returns

+ Experience with individual and/or business tax returns

+ Strong knowledge of general tax preparation procedures

+ Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

+ Ability to handle multiple returns and deadlines during busy season

+ Proficiency with Microsoft Excel

+ Associate's or bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
