Job Description
Job Description United State Bank is seeking a full-time Teller that provides prompt, efficient, and friendly service involving receipt and payment of cash to customers. Acknowledges customer needs with suggestions appropriate to the bank's services. Follows the established bank policies and procedures for this position and follows the supervisor's direction. Job duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Receives commercial and individual checking deposits, verifies cash and endorsements and issues receipts. Accepts checks for cashing or paying, verifies endorsement, validity, and funds, and makes change. Receives savings deposits. Pays withdrawals after verifying balance and signature. Receives loan payments, checks due dates. Accepts requests for payment of U.S. savings bonds and receives bonds Issue cashier's checks, money orders and any other product that may be offered by the bank. Always keeps cash secure and maintains a high level of safety for the bank. Accepts stop payment requests, check reorders, and address changes. Distributes these to proper personnel for processing. Maintains proper levels of cash in cash drawer. Answers customer questions, when necessary, always using the opportunities to cross-sell other bank services. Processes financial transactions in accordance with bank policies and procedures while maintaining daily & accurate drawer balancing Improve customers banking experience by ensuring the customers are addressed promptly and their needs met accurately Ensure confidential customer information is properly protected and only used for official purposes Processes incoming mail deposits and payments, signature cards, or transfers The successful candidate will have: Good communication skills General computer skills Attention to detail Ability to multi-task Maintain confidentiality Preferred Position Requirements High school education or its equivalent. Regular hours are from 8:00am-4:00pm Monday through Friday, some Fridays until 5:00pm, and some Saturday's from 9:00am-12:00pm. Full-time is eligible for benefits which include health, dental, life, and long-term disability insurance. We also offer paid vacation, flex time, and Holidays. We offer a 401K plan as well with both Traditional and Roth options.
