Responsibilities Handle all cash transactions accurately, including deposits, withdrawals, and payments, ensuring proper cash drawer handling and cash management. Prepare, verify, and issue cashier's checks, bank and personal money orders, travelers' checks, E bonds, and correspondent drafts. Process various banking transactions efficiently using banking recordkeeping system, recording all transactions and producing customer receipts. Order cash supply to meet daily needs. Assist customers with account inquiries, product information, and financial services, demonstrating strong customer service skills. Identify opportunities for upselling banking products and services to meet customer needs while adhering to financial compliance standards. Detect and prevent fraud by monitoring transactions for suspicious activity and following established fraud prevention procedures. Maintain work area to ensure the safety of all negotiables and confidential records. Perform other related duties as assigned. Requirements Strong understanding of banking software, cash handling procedures, and retail math including basic math skills. Knowledge of financial compliance standards, financial regulations, and industry best practices related to fraud prevention. Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial products clearly and professionally. Technical proficiency with Microsoft Office applications such as Word and Excel; familiarity with banking software is preferred.
