Mission, Texas Job Summary:

Medelinas Restaurant is seeking a reliable and motivated Cook to join our team. The Cook will be responsible for preparing and cooking menu items according to restaurant standards while maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.

Responsibilities:

Prepare and cook menu items following established recipes and food safety standards

Ensure food quality, taste, and presentation meet restaurant expectations

Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen stations and kitchen equipment

Assist with food preparation, portioning, and ingredient preparation

Follow all health and safety and sanitation regulations

Work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment

Assist with kitchen cleaning duties as needed

Requirements:

Minimum 6 months of experience in a similar role preferred

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Strong teamwork and communication skills

Knowledge of basic food safety and sanitation practices

Ability to stand for extended periods and lift kitchen supplies when necessary

Compensation:

Hourly pay. Position paid as an Independent Contractor (1099).
