Summary Cartel Roasting Co. is looking for an experienced Director of Finance to lead our accounting function and help turn financial information into better business decisions across our growing, multi-unit organization. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who is equally comfortable digging into the details of a reconciliation, improving an accounting process, and sitting down with operational leaders to explain what the numbers are telling us. You'll be responsible for the accuracy and integrity of our financial reporting while building the systems, controls, and reporting that allow our teams to better understand and manage the business. Experience in restaurants, food and beverage, hospitality, or another multi-unit environment is especially valuable. Our business involves inventory, cost of goods sold, labor, location-level performance, fixed assets, cash reconciliation, and the wonderfully complicated financial reality of operating multiple locations. What we're looking for: Enthusiasm, curiosity, and a genuine interest in Cartel and our business. A strong foundation in accounting, financial reporting, and internal controls. Approximately 5+ years of accounting, finance, or other relevant experience. We're open to different combinations of education and hands-on experience. Experience leading people, projects, or processes and taking ownership of results. Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate financial and operational data, identify trends, investigate discrepancies, and turn findings into useful insights. A practical, strategic approach to problem-solving and a willingness to dig in when something doesn't add up. The ability to collaborate effectively with leaders and teams across different areas of the organization. Strong organization and judgment when managing multiple priorities. Comfort learning and working across different systems and technology. Experience with tools such as QuickBooks, Excel, Paylocity, and Asana is helpful, but we don't expect you to know every system on day one.

Nice to have:

A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or a related field. 2+ years of formal people-management or leadership experience. Experience in food and beverage, restaurants, hospitality, retail, or another multi-unit environment. Salary Range:

$85,000-$110,000 annually, depending on experience.
