Job Description

Description We are looking for an experienced Corporate Controller to lead the organization's financial operations and provide strategic guidance that supports long-term business growth. Based in Solano County, California, this role will oversee core accounting and reporting activities while delivering timely insights to executive leadership and the board. The ideal candidate brings strong technical accounting expertise, sound business judgment, and the ability to work effectively with leaders and employees across a range of functions and environments.
Responsibilities:
  • Direct the company's financial planning efforts by shaping budgets, forecasts, and long-range strategies that align with business objectives.
  • Manage day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accurate records, reliable reporting, and well-coordinated month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities.
  • Produce and present financial statements and management reports that give leadership clear visibility into performance, trends, and key risks.
  • Oversee liquidity planning by tracking cash position, evaluating capital needs, and maintaining productive relationships with banking partners.
  • Establish and strengthen financial controls, policies, and procedures to protect company assets and support consistent compliance practices.
  • Coordinate external audits, tax-related activities, and advisor relationships while ensuring adherence to applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Evaluate financial results and translate data into practical recommendations that improve efficiency, profitability, and decision-making.
  • Partner with senior leadership on strategic initiatives such as investments, acquisitions, business expansion, and board-level financial presentations.
  • Supervise finance-related administrative functions, which may include payroll, benefits coordination, insurance renewals, risk oversight, and lender reporting obligations.
  • Lead, develop, and mentor accounting and finance team members while building effective working relationships with both executive stakeholders and operational staff. Requirements
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in controllership, accounting leadership, or corporate finance roles.
  • Demonstrated expertise in financial statement preparation, annual reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Strong background in accounting operations, internal controls, audit coordination, and regulatory compliance.
  • Proven ability to manage cash flow analysis, cash forecasting, and overall liquidity planning.
  • Experience presenting financial information and recommendations to executive leadership and, when needed, board-level audiences.
  • Solid understanding of tax, banking, lending covenant, and reporting requirements within a corporate environment.
  • Effective leadership skills with the ability to guide teams and communicate comfortably across both corporate and operational settings.
