Build a best-in-class, scalable Finance organization that supports the company's growth, with strong talent, disciplined processes, effective controls, modern technology and actionable financial information.
Lead monthly, quarterly and annual close and consolidated financial reporting across all entities. Own the general ledger, intercompany accounting and eliminations, accruals, allocations and other core accounting processes. Establish a disciplined close calendar, clear preparer/reviewer accountability and consistent documentation standards. Ensure financial statements are complete, accurate, GAAP-compliant and supported before release.
Balance Sheet & Financial Integrity:
Own the balance-sheet reconciliation and review process. Establish risk-based review standards and ensure significant, aged or unusual balances are investigated and resolved. Maintain appropriate support for significant estimates, reserves, revenue/AR accounting, leases, fixed assets and other judgmental areas. Drive resolution of legacy items rather than allowing reconciling differences to roll forward.
Accounting Operations:
Provide leadership over AP, client accounting and other core accounting operations. Establish service levels, controls and escalation procedures for transaction processing, vendor activity, accruals and month-end cut-off. Improve visibility into workflow and exceptions and reduce recurring manual work, errors and rework.
Audit, Controls & Accounting Policy:
Own external audit execution and the PBC process, including planning, schedules, supporting documentation, auditor requests and issue resolution. Maintain the financial control framework and accounting policies. Identify control or documentation gaps, establish remediation plans and ensure findings are resolved sustainably. Coordinate with Sam for hands-on audit and financial-governance support while retaining clear Controller accountability.
Revenue & AR Accounting Partnership:
Partner closely with Revenue Cycle to ensure revenue and receivables are recorded completely and accurately, cash is properly applied and significant billing/collection issues are reflected appropriately in the financial statements. Ensure revenue recognition, reserves and other accounting judgments are documented and aligned with underlying business activity.
M&A Due Diligence & Integration:
Lead the Accounting workstream for acquisitions and integrations. Support diligence of historical financial statements, balance-sheet accounts, AR/AP, accruals, accounting policies, liabilities, leases and other financial commitments. Own purchase accounting, opening balance sheets, chart-of-accounts mapping, accounting-policy alignment, close/consolidation integration and post-close financial-control requirements.
Systems, Automation & Process Design:
Serve as the functional design authority for Accounting requirements within Finance systems and ERP decisions. Define requirements for GL, chart of accounts, dimensions, close, reconciliations, AP workflows, fixed assets, consolidations, controls and audit trail. Partner with Sam on the broader Finance technology roadmap and ensure automation improves both efficiency and control. Utilize AI for reconciliations and balance sheet reviews.
Leadership & Cross-Functional Partnership:
Build and develop a strong Accounting organization with clear roles, cross-training and succession coverage. Reduce single points of failure and establish accountability for deadlines and quality. Operate as part of one Finance team, actively partnering with Financial Performance, Revenue Cycle, Treasury and Operations rather than treating Accounting as a separate silo, and one shared services team, providing best in class customer service to our number one client, the operations team and clients we serve Why You'll Love Working Here Medical plans starting at $13.80/month (Day 1 coverage) Dental and vision insurance Life and disability insurance Generous paid time off 403(b) retirement plan with employer match Paid training and tuition assistance Monthly car allowance Tickets at Work Employee referral bonuses and recognition programs Clear pathways for growth and advancement ✨ Join a team where your work truly matters—every single day.
