Opportunity :
My client, one of the fastest-growing companies in the construction industry, is looking to hire a Corporate Controller. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who wants real ownership over the numbers, not just a seat reviewing them after the fact. You'll work directly with senior finance leadership and have a clear line of sight into how your decisions shape the business. This isn't a single-site accounting job. You'll be the person multiple business units count on to keep their books clean, their controls tight, and their reporting on time. If you've outgrown a role where you're buried in one entity's transactions and you're ready to operate at a higher altitude, this is that next step. The team you'd be joining values accuracy and speed equally, and they're looking for someone who can build process, not just follow it.
Responsibilities :
Lead and develop a team of local finance staff spread across multiple business units, setting the standard for accuracy and accountability Own project accounting from the ground up, ensuring revenue recognition lines up with real contract progress and job status (percentage-of-completion, POC, cost-to-cost, however your prior team termed it) Drive process improvement initiatives that cut down manual work and tighten the monthly close cycle Manage the consolidation of financial data across entities, catching and resolving discrepancies before they become problems Serve as the go-to contact for auditors and keep every entity audit-ready year-round Oversee payroll, benefits administration, and related compliance filings across the region Review and approve reconciliations, including WIP schedules and over/under billing positions, ensuring every number on the books has a clean, defensible trail Partner with finance leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow visibility to support bigger-picture decisions
Must-Have Skills :
CPA Controller with a track record leading accounting across multiple entities or locations Strong background in project-based or percentage-of-completion accounting (WIP, over/under billing) Demonstrated ability to build and enforce internal controls in a growing organization Nice to

Experience owning a multi-entity monthly consolidation process Advanced Excel skills paired with reporting or BI tool experience History of building out or mentoring a finance team from the ground up
