As Director of Finance, you'll be the financial conscience and strategic advisor for our organization. You'll help leaders understand the financial implications of their decisions, find creative solutions to resource challenges, and ensure that every dollar is used effectively to advance our mission. You'll build systems and processes that don't just meet compliance requirements but help people do their work better. You'll translate complex financial concepts into clear insights that empower others to make smart decisions. This isn't just about balancing budgets and preparing reports. Qualifications:

Education:

Bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting, or related field required, , OR equivalent combination of education and experience. MBA, CPA, or CMA preferred.

Experience:

Four or more years of substantive experience in accounting and financial management. Expertise in financial analysis, forecasting, and budgeting. Previous experience with voluntary/nonprofit organizations preferred. Experience with investment management and asset allocation preferred. Prefer knowledge of and previous experience with diverse populations, working with people from all social and socio-economic segments of the community.

Technical Skills:

In-depth knowledge of financial regulations, compliance, and internal controls. Knowledge and understanding of general business matters including budget development, financial reporting, cash management, business taxes, banking, and debt financing instruments. Experience with standard business software and office machines. Excellent technology skills specific to computer skills, smartphone, and social media. Knowledge of computer systems, including experience with system selection, new system implementation, and project management.

Leadership and Management Skills:

Ability to direct programs through supervision of volunteers and staff, development and monitoring of budgets, marketing and public relations, program development, and fundraising. Proven record of accomplishment of developing authentic and deepened relationships with others. Ability to translate complex financial information into clear, actionable insights for non-financial leaders.
