Controller

SUMMARY:

The Controller at Bethanna plays a pivotal role in the financial management and oversight of our non-profit organization which is dedicated to assisting the diverse needs of children and their families through multiple programs. Reporting directly to the CFO, the Controller is responsible for ensuring financial transparency, compliance, and accuracy while supporting the organization's mission and strategic goals. The Controller is a critical team member that supports the financial health and integrity of our mission. The Controller works closely with the CFO and other executive leadership team members.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master's degree and/or CPA preferred). Significant experience in accounting and financial management, particularly in the non-profit sector. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, GAAP, and non-profit accounting standards. Experience with financial software and systems and in-depth knowledge of Excel. Knowledge of audit procedures and familiarity with the preparation of documents needed by external auditors. Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, analytical and problem-solving abilities, and strong written and verbal communication skills. High ethical standards and commitment to the organization's mission.
