This position will provide critical accounting leadership and hands-on support during a busy period, with a strong emphasis on close activities, financial accuracy, and timely reporting. The ideal candidate brings deep accounting expertise, works effectively with minimal supervision, and thrives in a fast-moving environment where precision and follow-through are essential.

Responsibilities:

Drive monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities to help ensure complete and timely financial results. Prepare, review, and post journal entries while maintaining accurate general ledger records and supporting documentation. Complete detailed account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies by researching underlying transactions and balances. Assist in producing financial statements and internal management reporting packages for leadership review. Evaluate account fluctuations and investigate variances to strengthen the accuracy of financial reporting. Partner with the Director of Accounting and business teams on priority accounting projects and operational initiatives. Support internal and external audit requests by organizing schedules, documentation, and responses to inquiries. Identify opportunities to improve accounting workflows, controls, and reporting efficiency in a dynamic environment. 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including direct responsibility for month-end close activities. Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and financial reporting practices. Experience supporting financial statement audits and compliance-related accounting processes. Advanced Excel skills with the ability to analyze data, build schedules, and manage large datasets. Experience with large ERP platforms such as SAP or Oracle is preferred. Familiarity with DCAA-related requirements is a plus. Proven ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet demanding deadlines.
