The role combines day-to-day controllership responsibilities with strategic financial planning, lender reporting, and support for key business initiatives.
Responsibilities:
  • Direct the monthly close process and produce accurate financial statements, reconciliations, and supporting analysis within established deadlines.
  • Prepare recurring financial reporting packages for leadership, highlighting business performance, major period-over-period movements, and notable risks or opportunities.
  • Administer lender reporting requirements by managing borrowing base submissions, monitoring collateral eligibility, forecasting liquidity, tracking covenant compliance, and coordinating audit or field exam support.
  • Lead finance-related activities tied to enterprise system implementation efforts, including account structure planning, data validation, costing configuration, testing, cutover preparation, and post-launch stabilization.
  • Oversee job costing and inventory valuation by maintaining standards, reviewing cost build-ups, and analyzing variances across materials, labor, and overhead.
  • Strengthen inventory accuracy through cycle count programs, physical inventory oversight, and reconciliations covering raw materials, work in process, and finished goods.
  • Supervise daily accounting operations across the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll review, and cash management.
  • Drive the annual budgeting process and rolling forecasts, providing variance analysis against plan and prior-period performance.
  • Develop and enforce accounting policies, internal controls, and financial procedures while coordinating with external auditors, tax advisors, banks, lenders, and insurance partners.
  • Recruit, mentor, and lead accounting staff while contributing to special projects such as capital analysis, due diligence, and process improvement initiatives.
