Job Overview We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Financial Aid Assistant to join our dynamic Financial Aid Director. In this vital role, you will support the financial aid office by processing applications, managing student records, and ensuring compliance with institutional and federal guidelines. Your enthusiasm for helping students navigate financial assistance programs will contribute significantly to their educational journey. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop expertise in financial services, accounting, and education administration within a collaborative environment. Responsibilities Assist Financial Aid Director with students in their process through financial aid Assist in review of documentation related to loan processing, grants, scholarships, and other funding sources Assist in determining eligibility and award amounts based on institutional policies and federal regulations Assist in maintaining detailed records of all transactions, correspondence, and documentation in compliance with privacy standards Assist in entrance and exit counseling Assist in all processes within the Administrative Office Skills Knowledge of loan processing procedures and federal/state financial aid regulations Excellent communication skills for interacting with students, colleagues, and external partners Proficiency in math to accurately calculate awards, eligibility, and repayment plans Ability to interpret complex policies related to financial services within an educational setting Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently Join us in empowering students through accessible financial support!
