Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students from PreK through 12th grade near Des Plaines, IL! This role is perfect for passionate occupational therapists and certified occupational therapy assistants seeking to make a genuine impact in a vibrant educational setting. You'll help students develop their fine and gross motor skills, both within the classroom and through individualized support, over a focused summer session.
Key Details:
Orientation scheduled for Friday, June 5 Work collaboratively from Monday, June 8 to Friday, June 26 (with Friday, June 19 off) Student attendance from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.; staff hours from 8:45 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.
What You'll Bring:
Strong experience in school-based OT, healthcare, or home health settings Skilled in supporting fine and gross motor skill development in children and adolescents Licensed Occupational Therapist or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) Background in managing caseloads across diverse age groups, ideally PreK through high school Creative, adaptable, and collaborative approach to working with students and school teams
Your Responsibilities:
Deliver engaging OT interventions tailored to students' individual needs and group goals Collaborate with educators and families to integrate therapy into the educational environment Monitor, track, and communicate student progress in both formal reports and team meetings Foster a supportive, encouraging atmosphere that promotes student independence and participation Embark on this short-term, impactful assignment that lets you work mornings and helps create brighter futures for students of all abilities.
