We are building a modern, systems-driven fleet operation designed to scale while maintaining the standards that built the company. We currently operate a growing fleet supporting major infrastructure and construction projects throughout Utah, and we are looking for a high-level operational leader to help us continue scaling the company while improving operational structure, communication, uptime, and accountability. Position Overview The Fleet Operations Manager will oversee: Driver leadership and accountability Fleet maintenance coordination Truck uptime and operational reliability Safety and compliance oversight Employee recognition and morale Operational communication and problem-solving Coordination between drivers, dispatch, vendors, and ownership This role will directly influence: fleet uptime, driver retention, operational efficiency, customer reliability, and the long-term scalability of Zoink. This is not a low-level management position. This role is intended for someone who wants meaningful operational ownership and the ability to help build systems, structure, and accountability throughout a growing operation. The Vision Zoink is transitioning from an owner-operated structure into a professionally managed operating company. We are moving away from reactive "chaos management" and toward a precision-based operation focused on: reliability, uptime, accountability, communication, safety, and operational excellence. What a Typical Day Might Look Like One day may involve: Coordinating preventative maintenance schedules Solving a truck breakdown issue Coaching a driver through a performance concern Reviewing safety incidents or camera events Supporting dispatch coverage Working with vendors or dealerships Improving operational processes and communication systems Identifying inefficiencies before they become operational problems No two days are exactly the same. Key Responsibilities Driver Leadership & Operational Alignment Develop and maintain the communication rhythm that keeps the fleet aligned Reinforce professionalism and company expectations Coach drivers through performance and accountability issues Help onboard and mentor drivers Build accountability while maintaining professionalism and respect Reinforce company culture and operational standards Fleet & Maintenance Coordination Coordinate preventative maintenance schedules Monitor truck uptime and downtime Work with mechanics, dealerships, and vendors Track recurring equipment issues Improve maintenance accountability and operational visibility Ensure fueling, inspections, and maintenance compliance Operations Support Solve day-to-day operational issues Coordinate breakdown response and operational coverage Support dispatch and scheduling operations Improve communication and operational efficiency Identify operational problems before they escalate Safety & Compliance Review safety incidents and camera events Reinforce safe operating practices Conduct or assist with safety meetings Maintain operational standards and compliance expectations Culture & Leadership Implement employee recognition initiatives Help maintain morale and professionalism Reinforce the Zoink standard throughout operations Lead through consistency, accountability, and professionalism How Success Is Measured Success in this role may be measured through: Truck uptime percentage Driver retention and reliability Maintenance compliance Safety incident frequency Operational responsiveness Fleet communication consistency Reduction in preventable downtime Customer feedback and reliability Performance bonuses may be tied to operational performance, uptime goals, and company growth milestones.
