Floral Associate (Part Time, Flexible Schedule)

At least two closing shifts and one weekend shift are required for this position. For the Floral Associate, means providing warm, attentive service, keeping floral displays fresh, organized, and visually appealing, and using product knowledge to assist customers with selections for any occasion. Your Day-to-Day Provide friendly, knowledgeable service and assist customers with floral selections and orders Greet customers and prioritize their needs over other tasks Create simple floral arrangements and bows, and package products attractively Maintain clean, organized work areas including sales floor, counters, and display spaces Handle register transactions and take special orders in person and over the phone Prep and care for fresh flowers upon delivery Monitor inventory and report or place orders as needed If assigned, receive and inspect floral deliveries What you bring to the Farm Knowledge and willingness to learn on all floral products and how to put together an arrangement Knowledge and willingness to learn about design techniques, flower care, and handling Help customers with any questions or concerns on floral products or orders Ability to demonstrate and set the example for Adams' culture and values Ability to operate Adams' point of sale systems Willingness to work collaboratively and communicate with a team of co-workers and managers Exhibit enthusiasm, positivity and/or knowledge about Adams' products and quality Working Conditions Able to safely use knives, scissors, hot glue device, any floral tools Able to stand for majority of your shift Consistently move, adjust, and position items weighing up to 50 pounds Occasionally ascend/descend a stepstool, stepladder, and/or ladder Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers for duration of shift Communicate with others to exchange information Moving self in different positions to accomplish tasks including in tight and confined spaces Perks of the Job At Adams, we believe in recognizing and rewarding excellent work with competitive compensation and meaningful benefits. The salary range for this position takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions - including skill sets, experience, training, certifications and other business needs. A reasonable estimate of the current range is: $16.00 - $22.40. At Adams, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their position, and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each situation.
