Swing Shift Supervisor Location:

Swing Shift / Evening Shift (2:30PM-12:30AM, M-F)

Position Summary:

We are seeking a dependable and hands-on Swing Shift Supervisor to oversee evening production operations in our food manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for ensuring production lines operate efficiently, safely, and in compliance with food safety and GMP standards. The ideal candidate is a strong leader who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, communicates effectively with teams, and proactively solves problems to minimize downtime and maintain product quality.

Key Responsibilities:

Production & Shift Management Review and execute the daily production schedule to ensure correct products are produced in the proper sequence. Coordinate product changeovers and communicate any special production instructions to the team. Ensure processing rooms and production lines are properly staged and prepared before startup. Participate in shift transition meetings with management to discuss production status, issues, priorities, and timelines. Maintain continuous oversight of all production lines throughout the shift. Team Leadership Supervise and support line leaders and production employees during swing shift operations. Verify employees are working safely, efficiently, and according to company standards. Provide coaching, direction, and immediate feedback to employees and team leaders. Address production issues proactively to prevent downtime or quality concerns. Communicate effectively with day shift leadership to ensure smooth transitions between shifts. Food Safety & GMP Compliance Inspect equipment and production lines for proper assembly, sanitation, and labeling prior to startup. Monitor compliance with GMPs, PPE requirements, hygiene practices, and food safety standards. Correct and document any non-compliance issues immediately. Ensure employees follow contamination prevention procedures during breaks and shift movement. Production Monitoring & Documentation Conduct line and equipment checks within the first hour of production to verify: Correct products are running Equipment labeling accuracy Employee efficiency Accurate production paperwork Track production performance and enter production data into company systems. Review production output and collaborate with line leaders to improve efficiency and reduce waste. Ensure all required documentation is completed accurately and in real time. Facility & Housekeeping Oversight Monitor housekeeping throughout the facility, including trash and cardboard removal. Ensure work areas remain clean, organized, and inspection-ready at all times. Assign personnel as needed to maintain sanitation and operational standards.

Qualifications:

Three (3+) years of previous supervisory experience in food manufacturing, meat processing, or a related production environment preferred. Knowledge of GMPs, food safety standards, and sanitation procedures. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and manage multiple priorities. Comfortable using production tracking systems and completing operational documentation. Ability to stand, walk, and work in a production environment for extended periods.

Preferred Experience:

Three (3+) years of experience in food, meat processing, or protein manufacturing environments. Familiarity with conveyor-based production systems. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
