  • Develops and implements methods for hiring, training, directing, and evaluating personnel that recognizes education, experience, performance, and certification. (E)
  • Implement personnel policies and procedures for the CNP according to local, state, and federal regulations and laws. (E)
  • Establishes procedures to implement employee contract agreements.
  • Conducts professional development and staff meetings for CNP personnel, including an orientation meeting at the beginning of each school year. (E)
  • Supervise cafeteria staff, food preparation, and daily work schedules; assist in the cafeteria as needed. (E)
  • Establishes and manages measurable financial objectives and goals for the CNP and is responsible for all financial management of the CNP (E)
  • Implements efficient management techniques to ensure all records and supporting documentation are maintained according to local, state, and federal laws and policies. (E)
  • Develops and implements purchasing guidelines to ensure purchased food and supplies reflect product knowledge, customer preferences, district needs, policies, and nutrition objectives, including a regular review of vendors. Procures audits and pays all foodservice invoices for the snack bar and cafeteria. (E)
  • Establishes and maintains standards for receiving, storing, and inventorying food and non-food supplies based on sound management principles, including daily, monthly, and annual food inventories, cafeteria equipment, and supplies. (E)
  • Produces cost-effective meals that maintain nutrition integrity and meet all local, state, and federal guidelines and regulations, including but not limited to the National School Lunch Program and the Healthy Hunger-Free Kids Act. (E)
  • Assesses customer preferences, industry trends, and current research to plan menus that encourage participation in the CNP. (E)
  • Completes, submits and maintains menu certification with standardized recipes meeting nutritional requirements.
