Refer a Friend Back to Search LaSalle Network is hiring for a Gateway Agent to join a growing Air Export Gateway team in Chicago. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced air export professional who thrives in a fast-paced logistics environment and enjoys working directly with airline carriers to keep freight moving efficiently and profitably. Unlike traditional Operations roles, this Gateway Agent position is heavily focused on internal coordination, carrier communication and shipment consolidation strategy. The team is growing due to increased workload, making this a strong opportunity for candidates looking to expand their experience within air export and gateway operations.

What You'll Do:

Book air freight shipments and confirm carrier pricing and schedules Manage full A-Z air export shipments across assigned lanes Coordinate consolidations to maximize profitability on MAWBs Communicate directly with airlines regarding booking updates, CCA requests and corrections Track MAWBs and update shipment departure and arrival details Resolve carrier issues including delays, damages and urgent cargo requests Partner with Operations teams to ensure documents meet carrier cutoff times Maintain transfer sheets and communicate lockout times to warehouse teams Balance bookings across multiple offices and carrier relationships Verify carrier pricing accuracy and close out MAWBs What's Needed?: 2+ years of air export experience required Gateway experience preferred but not required Strong understanding of full A-Z shipment management Ability to work independently in a high-volume environment Strong communication and organizational skills Comfortable working in a productivity-focused, email-heavy environment Dependable, professional and execution-driven mindset What's In It for Me?: Opportunity to join a growing Gateway team with expansion plans Exposure to airline carrier management and consolidations Stable schedule with month-to-month flexibility Collaborative team environment with strong leadership support
