We take pride in our strong community ties and dedication to exceeding customer expectations. We are seeking a motivated and dynamic General Manager to join our team and drive sales growth.
Job Summary:
The General Manager will be responsible for managing the day to day activities of the lot and producing sales results. This role requires excellent communication skills, proficiency in technology, and a strong knowledge of sales, with a focus on driving revenue, managing customer relationships, and achieving location performance goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Execution:
Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to understand their needs and recommend appropriate trailer solutions. Engage with customers through in-person, phone, and online inquiries, providing clear and professional communication. Guide customers through the sales process, from initial contact to final delivery, ensuring a seamless and positive experience. Negotiate pricing and terms to close sales while maintaining profitability and customer satisfaction.
Business Operations:
Lead office and yard employees, working with HR and leadership to manage performance and productivity. Maintain property to the highest standards; ensure the lawn is maintained, cameras functional, equipment is properly running, and the show room is professional and ready for customers. Handle bank runs, procurement of supplies, and other general operational tasks as needed. Communicate with management, accounting, finance, ecommerce teams.
Inventory Management:
Monitor incoming inventory, ensuring VIN accuracy and good condition of trailers. Maintain records of loads and communicate deliveries to proper departments. Assist with Floor plan audits, helping auditors locate trailers and communicating with accounting on discrepancies.
Shop and Service Support:
Assist shop employees with trailer prep and repairs as needed. Ensure a safe working environment by following OSHA guidelines and implementing safety techniques in the shop and yard. Help manage warranty escalations and customer service issues as they arise.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate's or bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field is a plus.
  • 2+ years of sales management experience, preferably in automotive, trailer, or related industries.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and connect with diverse customers.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple SaaS applications simultaneously (e.g., CRM, inventory management, or sales software like Dealertrack).
  • Tech-savvy with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and adaptability to learn new software tools.
  • Goal-oriented with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience in trailer or automotive sales.
  • Knowledge of trailer types, specifications, and industry trends.
