Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding role supporting student development as an Occupational Therapist in a dynamic educational environment near Mapleton, OR. This contract opportunity focuses on empowering children to achieve their personal and academic goals through innovative therapy methods, including both on-site and teletherapy services.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) Demonstrated expertise in delivering OT services within a school setting Proficiency in assessing and improving fine and gross motor skills in children Experience with teletherapy platforms and effective remote intervention Ability to collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to design effective treatment plans Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills
Responsibilities:
Provide direct occupational therapy services to K-12 students, both in-person and through teletherapy, as needed Evaluate students' sensory, perceptual, and motor functions to develop individualized educational plans Collaborate with education teams to align interventions with classroom goals Conduct screenings and assessments, interpreting results for educational relevance Document therapy sessions, progress, and data in compliance with school and professional standards Train and support teachers and staff in classroom strategies to reinforce students' motor skills This position offers the chance to make a meaningful impact every day, working alongside passionate educators and supportive families.
