Job Description

We are seeking a full-time licensed Acupuncturist and Bodymind Provider to join our busy and growing integrative mental health practice in San Diego. This role is designed for a multi-disciplined practitioner who provides holistic, body-based modalities within a supportive, collaborative treatment model. Who We Are True Life Center is an Integrative Partial Hospitalization (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient (IOP) mental health program dedicated to helping individuals discover and heal the root causes of pain and suffering, treating high-acuity primary mental health disorders. Our multidisciplinary team brings together psychotherapy, psychiatry, nursing, integrative medicine, acupuncture, massage therapy, biofeedback, nutrition, movement, mindfulness, and other evidence-informed approaches. You will conduct predominantly 1:1 sessions with the opportunity to facilitate small, intimate groups. Offer gentle, heart-centered, and grounded care using proper massage and draping techniques. Maintain attention to detail and adhere strictly to clinical standards, safety, and operational instructions. Interdisciplinary Collaboration & Department Development Collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary team of psychiatrists, psychotherapists, and integrative providers to support whole-person care. Share your knowledge and expertise to contribute to ongoing department development and clinical growth. Engage openly in receiving and integrating feedback to foster continuous professional growth and clinical excellence. Who You Are You are a multi-disciplined practitioner trained and interested in providing multiple modalities and skill sets to support patients in a truly holistic way. You bring a grounded, compassionate bedside manner with a gentle approach and treat from a heart-centered, patient-centered presence. Dedicated to continuous learning, you enjoy sharing your expertise collaboratively and feel comfortable receiving feedback. You thrive with a diversified clinical day that blends acupuncture, massage, mindfulness, and movement practices. Qualifications Required Current, unrestricted license as an Acupuncturist (L.Ac.) in the state of California. Minimum of one year of paid working experience as a licensed acupuncturist. Demonstrated experience guiding and instructing patients in movement and mindfulness techniques (such as qi gong, yoga, meditation, and/or other self-care practices). Practical experience providing massage therapy with mastery of proper clinical draping techniques. Strong attention to detail and demonstrated ability to follow clinical and administrative instructions. Strongly Preferred Experience working in a mental health setting and/or experience working with mental health and substance use populations. Formal background or training in trauma-informed care.
