Full-Time Sterling Medical is seeking an experienced Athletic Trainer to support the U.S. Air Force's Holistic Health and Fitness (HHF) program at Travis Air Force Base. The program is designed to improve Airmen's physical performance, reduce injuries, support rehabilitation, and improve overall mission readiness. The Athletic Trainer will work as part of an integrated Human Performance team supporting Airmen in a military/operational environment. Responsibilities Provide athletic training, injury prevention, rehabilitation, and performance support. Work directly with Airmen and assigned squadrons. Participate in squadron PT and individual performance sessions. Provide mission-specific injury prevention and human performance guidance. Support Airmen preparing for demanding operational and deployment requirements. Work collaboratively with other Human Performance professionals. Maintain documentation and participate in required reporting and meetings. Schedule Full-time, approximately 8 hours per day Maximum 40 hours per week Primarily during the military working day Specific hours coordinated with the Government Occasional nonstandard hours may be required based on mission needs Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university. Degree in Sport Psychology or a related field such as performance enhancement, health/exercise psychology, cognitive psychology, counseling, or social psychology. Athletic Trainer certification through an accredited organization. Minimum 5 years of athletic training experience. U.S. citizenship. Ability to meet required military installation access, background, and CAC requirements. Additional Information Some CONUS travel for authorized meetings, conferences, or training may be required and would be reimbursed in accordance with Government requirements.
