Job Description

Job Summary The Rehab Trainer and DME Coordinator is in collaboration with Physicians to provide patient education and coordination related to durable medical equipment (DME), including fitting and dispensing equipment in the clinic and surgery per physician orders. Coordinates DME needs for surgical cases, obtains insurance authorizations when required, and ensures accurate documentation, charge entry, and billing coordination. Maintains inventory levels, orders and tracks equipment, and works with vendors to resolve supply issues. Responsibilities Educates patients on proper use and care of prescribed equipment Monitors compliance with orthopedic protocols Supports efficient patient care delivery through collaboration with physicians and clinical staff Maintains knowledge of DME products, orthopedic terminology, and regulatory requirements while working independently in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Qualifications Education:
Required:
Bachelor's degree in exercise related studies and 1 year of clinical experience.
Preferred:
Athletic Trainer Certification license
Required:
Certification within 1 year of employment.
