Job Description
We are seeking a motivated, personable, and clinically minded Athletic Trainer / Personal Trainer to join our physical therapy practice. This is a unique opportunity for an athletic trainer who enjoys working with people recovering from injury as well as individuals looking to improve their strength, mobility, conditioning, and overall physical performance. The ideal candidate will work closely with our physical therapy team while providing individualized exercise and performance training in a professional physical therapy environment. Responsibilities Provide individualized personal training and exercise programs based on each client's goals, fitness level, and functional abilities. Work with clients transitioning from physical therapy into a safe, progressive fitness and strength program. Assist with exercise progression, mobility, flexibility, balance, strength, conditioning, and injury-prevention programs within the appropriate scope of practice. Communicate and collaborate with physical therapists regarding client progress and exercise needs. Monitor exercise technique, movement quality, and client tolerance during training sessions. Educate clients on proper exercise form, movement mechanics, and injury-prevention strategies. Help patients and clients build confidence as they return to recreational activities, sports, or normal fitness routines. Maintain a clean, organized, and professional training environment. Document sessions and communicate relevant observations to the clinical team as appropriate. Provide an exceptional, encouraging, and professional client experience. Help develop and grow the practice's performance and personal training program.
