Maibel Tamez will provide on-site support as you help shape accessible learning environments for roughly 50 students districtwide (with a rotating weekly caseload).

Requirements:

Master's degree in Audiology Current ASHA certification (or qualifying waiver) Valid state licenses to practice and to fit/repair hearing aids Successful completion of the relevant exam At least 5 years of experience in educational audiology or equivalent settings Capable of passing fingerprinting and background checks

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive hearing evaluations for students aged PK-12 Fit, program, and troubleshoot hearing aids and assistive devices Provide direct services, consultation, and on-site support to students, educators, and families Coordinate with itinerant teachers and school staff to schedule services districtwide Maintain accurate, timely records of assessments and interventions This contract begins as soon as possible and continues through late May 2027, allowing you to create lasting impact while working with an engaged school community.
