Full Job Description Overview:
Armenta Learning Academy is a small private tutoring academy that has been serving families in Orange County since 1989. We work with students one on one, including many autistic and ADHD kids who struggle with focus, confidence, and staying regulated. We are growing our roster of experienced instructors. You tell us your availability, and we reach out when we have a student who is a good match for you. This is ideal for you if: You're a behavior technician, RBT, or special ed paraprofessional who wants to teach, not just manage behavior You're a current or former special ed teacher looking for part time supplemental income You're great with active kids who have a hard time sitting still, and you enjoy helping them find their confidence What you bring: At least 1 year working with autistic or ADHD kids, one on one or in a classroom Calm and patient, and able to hold a boundary with a kid who's struggling without getting frustrated Comfortable teaching reading, writing, or math at an elementary or middle school level Reliable and communicative
Schedule:
Our biggest need is weekday afternoons from 3 to 6 PM. We also have some morning and Saturday sessions, so if you're open to those too, even better. The more availability you have, the more students we can match you with.
Pay:
$28 to $38 per hour depending on experience What happens after you apply: We review your resume and your answer below Quick phone call to get to know you and your availability Paid trial session with one of our students so we can see you in action If it's a great fit, you join our roster and we start matching you with students
