Job Description

  • Job Summary:
  • We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Behavior Technician to join our team.
As a Behavior Technician, you will play a vital role in providing support and guidance to individuals with intellectual and other developmental disabilities. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children as well as young adults, possess a strong understanding of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles, and be committed to delivering high-quality care.
  • Responsibilities:
  • Implement evidence-based behavioral therapy techniques to promote positive behaviors and address challenging behaviors.
  • Collaborate with the treatment team to develop and update individualized care plans, ensuring that all services align with the client's goals and needs.
  • Provide direct care to clients, including behavioral interventions, skill training, and daily living skills.
  • Maintain accurate and thorough records of client progress, including data collection and reporting.
  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of medical terminology and HIPAA regulations.
  • Educate clients and their families about behavioral health and strategies for promoting independence and self-advocacy.
  • Work effectively with a diverse group of individuals, including children, and maintain a patient and respectful demeanor at all times.
  • Skills:
  • Experience working with young adults and children, preferably in a behavioral health setting.
  • Strong knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles and behavioral therapy techniques.
  • Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and medical terminology.
  • Ability to educate clients and their families about behavioral health and strategies for promoting independence and self-advocacy.
  • Experience with data collection and reporting, with a focus on measuring client progress and outcomes.
  • Proven ability to work effectively with individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities.
  • A commitment to providing high-quality care and promoting positive behaviors.
  • A passion for delivering behavioral health services in a supportive and collaborative environment.
