Job Description

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A fulfilling opportunity awaits experienced educators passionate about supporting diverse learners! Work on-site in a vibrant elementary school community located near Rifle, CO, as a Special Education Teacher focused on students in grades K-5 with mild to moderate needs. This full-time, contract position begins on a TBD start date and runs through May 28, 2026. In this role, you'll have an impactful caseload, directly managing 11 students but collaborating with a co-teacher to oversee up to 15 children. The position emphasizes inclusive practices and individualized supports for students who benefit from mild to moderate interventions. Qualifications:
Valid Colorado teaching license with a Special Education endorsement required Experience with K-5 students and familiarity with addressing mild/moderate needs Skilled in managing IEPs and collaborating within a multidisciplinary team Comfortable providing assistance with toileting and supporting students with behavioral needs Strong communication and flexibility to partner with general education and special education staff
