Job Description
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Make a positive difference in the lives of students by providing support and specialized instruction in an engaging K-5 environment for those with mild to moderate needs. An experienced Special Education Teacher is sought to work full-time in a collaborative, onsite role supporting a committed caseload. You'll work alongside another educator, managing up to 11 students directly and assisting with up to 15 learners in total. This is an excellent opportunity for a compassionate educator passionate about inclusive education and helping each child reach their full potential.
Qualifications and Required Experience:
Valid Colorado teaching license with a Special Education (SPED) endorsement Experience or strong comfort working with mild to moderate behavioral and academic needs Willingness and capability to assist with toileting and personal care as necessary Prior experience in an elementary (K-5) or similar setting preferred Dedication to teamwork, collaboration, and building rapport with students, families, and staffKey Responsibilities:
Deliver tailored instruction and interventions to students with IEPs within an elementary caseload Collaborate with co-teachers and related service providers to facilitate classroom inclusion and student growth Implement and track IEP goals, progress monitor, and attend or lead meetings with families and teams Offer guidance and modeling for classroom staff on managing behaviors and supporting daily routines Maintain accurate documentation, uphold compliance standards, and communicate effectively with families This contract opportunity extends through the end of May 2026, providing vital stability for students and school teams.
