Job Description

Category Schools - Behavior Specialist Job Type Contract Take on an impactful part-time contract opportunity in a school-based setting as a Behavior Intervention Specialist for the upcoming 2025-26 academic year. This role is ideal for experienced BCBAs or Special Education Teachers (with a tier 3 or 4 license) passionate about supporting student success through behavioral interventions. You'll partner with an additional BIS and a Special Education Administrator while working across multiple school sites with a flexible, approximately half-time schedule—typically between 8:30 a.m. and 4:10 p.m., covering 18 hours per week.
What you bring:
Credentials as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) or a Special Education Teacher with a tier 3 or 4 license Demonstrated experience conducting functional behavior assessments and developing individualized behavior intervention plans Skill in implementing positive behavior supports and using de-escalation techniques Strong collaborative and consultative abilities working with interdisciplinary teams Ability to train other staff in behavioral practices and recommendations Calm, adaptive approach in crisis situations and a commitment to student safety Knowledge of compliance with district, state, and federal requirements for special education services Readiness to work at several school locations as assigned (locations cannot be guaranteed) Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) do not qualify for this role
