Part-Time Behavior Technician ( 2:30 - 6:30) Blueprint Behavior Services Portland, OR Job Details Part-time $19 - $25 an hour 3 hours ago Qualifications Teamwork HIPAA Experience working with children Direct support Patient interaction Full Job Description Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Behavior Technician to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with children and individuals with developmental disabilities, implementing behavioral therapy techniques to support their growth and development. Your primary focus will be on providing high-quality patient care while collecting data and documenting progress in accordance with best practices in behavioral health. Responsibilities Implement individualized behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a qualified professional. Provide direct support to children and individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities. Collect and record data on client behavior and progress accurately and consistently. Assist in the assessment of patient needs through intake processes and diagnostic evaluations. Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations to ensure the confidentiality of medical records. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop effective treatment strategies. Engage in patient care activities, including monitoring behavior and providing feedback to caregivers. Document all interactions and interventions in accordance with medical documentation standards. Skills Strong understanding of behavioral therapy principles, particularly applied behavior analysis (ABA). Experience working with children, especially those with autism or other developmental disabilities. Proficiency in data collection methods relevant to behavioral health. Knowledge of special education practices and working with people with disabilities. Familiarity with medical terminology, documentation, and records management. Ability to conduct patient assessments effectively and compassionately. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective collaboration within a team environment. A patient-centered approach that emphasizes empathy and understanding in all interactions.
