CalMed Inc. is a medical equipment service and repair company serving Connecticut, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and New York. We are looking for an experienced field technician who can work independently across our customer base — nursing homes, clinics, hospitals, and surgical centers. What You'll Do Scheduled inspections and preventive maintenance on medical equipment Electrical safety, safety, and performance testing Diagnose and repair equipment in the field Complete accurate documentation for each unit inspected or repaired Tag, track, and maintain equipment inventory records for customer asset management Travel throughout our service area, including overnight stays to complete jobs What We're Looking For Hands-on experience servicing medical equipment — Hillrom, Baxter, Welch Allyn, Midmark, Steris and similar Able to diagnose and repair on your own, without assistance Experience with autoclaves and exam tables is a strong plus Comfortable making the call on site when a job isn't straightforward Able to talk directly with facility staff and management about findings and next steps Biomedical equipment technology degree or certification is a plus, not required Must be able to occasionally push, pull, and lift up to 100 lbs Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Comfortable with computers and mobile devices for documentation and inventory tracking Professional with facility staff — you are the face of CalMed on site Travel This role covers New England and New York and includes overnight travel to complete jobs.
