Description Job Title Biomedical Equipment Technician (BMET) - Level I/II Location Northern Light Health Bangor, ME Description Biomedical Equipment Technician (BMET) - Level I/II is responsible for performing advanced maintenance, calibration, and repair on a wide array of biomedical equipment. This position requires extensive technical expertise, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to mentor and train junior staff. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Conduct advanced maintenance, calibration, and repairs on complex biomedical equipment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve equipment malfunctions using advanced technical knowledge.
• Ensure all biomedical equipment meets industry standards and safety regulations.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of all maintenance, calibration, and repair actions.
• Provide mentorship, training, and support to junior technicians and clinical staff.
• Collaborate with manufacturers and vendors for technical support, equipment updates, and recalls.
• Participate in the evaluation, planning, and implementation of new biomedical equipment.
• Manage projects related to biomedical equipment installation and upgrades.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols.
• Perform other duties as assigned. Work Schedule
• Monday-Friday, 0630-1500 or 0700-1530 ET

• Associate or Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Equipment Technology, Electronics, or a related field, or DoD BMET School Graduate, or Active

credentials.

• 1-3 years of experience in biomedical equipment maintenance and repair.
• Expert knowledge of electronic, mechanical, and computer systems.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication, customer service, and leadership skills.
• Ability to work independently and lead a team.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management skills.
• Proficient in computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite and equipment management systems.
• Certified Biomedical Equipment Technician (CBET) strongly preferred. Contract Length
• 3-year contract with options for 2 additional years. Salary
• $ 20.00 -$34.13 Per hour.
