Job Description
Category Nursing - CVOR Tech Job Type Contract Advance your healthcare career by taking on a vital role supporting cardiovascular operating room procedures. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to high-level surgical teams, ensuring optimal patient care in a fast-paced environment.
Schedule:
8-hour shifts: 6:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. Monday throughFriday Qualifications:
Certification as a CVOR Tech or relevant surgical technologist credentials is required Experience assisting in cardiovascular or thoracic surgeries preferred Proficient in sterile technique, instrument handling, and surgical suite protocols Excellent communication skills and the ability to work cohesively within multidisciplinary teams Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety Flexibility to adapt to dynamic surgical schedules and proceduresKey Responsibilities:
Prepare the CVOR for surgical procedures by ensuring the availability and proper functioning of all necessary equipment and sterile supplies Assist surgeons and nursing staff during cardiovascular procedures by anticipating needs and providing instruments and consumables promptly Maintain a sterile field and adhere to infection control standards throughout each procedure Accurately count instruments, sponges, and sharps to maintain patient safety Monitor, adjust, and support equipment such as heart-lung machines and other specialized devices as directed Collaborate with nursing, anesthesia, and other medical staff to ensure smooth workflow and optimal outcomes for patients Facilitate the timely turnover and cleaning of the operating room between casesBenefits:
