Clinical Manager Job Overview:

Use of a variety of procedures and instruments to diagnose and treat heart disease and vascular problems by performing diagnostic tests, using sonography and other types of non-invasive procedures as well as advanced life support techniques.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Perform Treadmill Stress Tests (GXT), Stress Echocardiograms, Exercise Nuclear Testing. Perform Pharmacological Stress Tests including Dobutamine and Lexiscan. Perform Ankle-Brachial Index Tests, both at rest and stress. Event Monitor and Wireless Telemetry hookup, scanning and frequent monitoring of event monitor internet website. Holter Monitor, hookup and scanning. Perform Pulmonary Function Test. Perform CAEP Protocol. At Home Sleep Study, hookup and scanning from home sleep study internet website. Maintains strictest confidentiality. This position is considered to be safety sensitive. Review scheduled patient charts the week prior and day prior to seeing in office. Call patients the day prior to review testing instructions and add proper documentation in patient's chart. Maintains a safe environment, including but not limited to: Prepares work area for examination of patients. Perform emergency BLS measures when necessary. Maintain supplies, equipment and cleanliness of rooms. Always performs concise and thorough documentation in patient's charts. Must have the ability to effectively deal with stressful situations in a calm and productive manner, while maintaining the highest degree of customer satisfaction. Participation in new hire and annual training is a condition of employment. Must be able to travel to other CVAM locations as necessary. Other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE

Knowledge of cardiac anatomy. Knowledge of the cardiac electrical conduction system. Knowledge of cardiac arrhythmia interpretation. General knowledge about cardiac medications. Knowledge of stress testing protocols. Continuing education in cardiac testing and systems.

SKILLS:

Ability to interpret advanced cardiac arrhythmias from a surface ECG. Ability to interpret a 12-lead

ECG. ABILITIES

Have good organizational, written, and communication skills. Must have excellent customer service skills. Ability to multi-task in a fast paced work environment. Ability to react appropriately in an emergent situation.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Proficient in EKG interpretation.

CERTIFICATIONS

Must obtain certification through CCI (Cardiovascular Credentialing International)for Certified Cardiographic Technician (CVT) within six months of hire.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Hearing:

Adequate to perform job duties in person and over the telephone.

Speaking:

Must be able to communicate clearly to patients in person and over the telephone.

Vision:

Visual acuity adequate to perform job duties, including reading information from printed sources and computer screens.

Other:

Requires occasional lifting and carrying items weighing up to 10 pounds unassisted. Requires frequent bending, reaching, and repetitive hand movements (specifically keyboarding and writing), standing, walking, squatting and sitting, with some lifting, pushing and pulling exerted regularly throughout a regular work shift. Assisting with patient mobility may be required. This may require you to on occasion wear gloves and/or other Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
