Job Description
Houston Methodist seeks a Cath Lab Radiology Technologist I to support complex cardiac and vascular procedures through high-quality imaging. In this on-site role, you'll operate fluoroscopy and cath lab imaging systems, ensure radiation safety, maintain sterile technique, and collaborate closely with physicians and nurses. You'll assist with patient preparation and monitoring, document exams in PACS/EMR, and help maintain equipment readiness. Responsibilities Operate cath lab imaging and fluoroscopy equipment for cardiac and vascular procedures Apply radiation safety principles to protect patients and staff Maintain sterile field and assist with scrub duties as needed Prepare patients, verify identity and consent, and position for optimal imaging Monitor patients and support hemodynamic data collection during procedures Document studies accurately in PACS and the electronic medical record Perform routine equipment checks, troubleshooting, and quality control Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and technologists to optimize workflow and outcomes Follow all hospital, regulatory, and infection prevention policies Participate in ongoing education, competencies, and process-improvement initiatives Required Skills Cardiac catheterization imaging Fluoroscopy operation Radiation safety and dose monitoring Sterile technique and scrub assistance Contrast media administration support Hemodynamic monitoring support PACS and EMR documentation Equipment troubleshooting and QAPatient positioning and immobilization Emergency response in procedural setting
