GENERAL SUMMARY
Under general department supervision, and following established policies, procedures, and regulations, performs/assists various technical procedures, maintenance, or exams in scope of practice of Cardiovascular Technologist. Reports to department leadership.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Acquires 15-lead electrocardiograms (ECGs). Performs cardiac stress tests (treadmills) including appropriate preparation of skin surfaces in the correct placement of electrodes and routing appropriately in electronic EKG system. Enrolls holter/cardiac event monitors in vendor system and assigns to appropriate reading physician. Processes and routes remote pacemaker interrogations in system and corresponding logs. Serves as point of contact for vendors, patients, and families for troubleshooting and information sharing including the mailing of results letters or overdue transmissions letters, and billing for diagnostic studies Performs all other duties as assigned.

Required Licenses and/or Certifications None required. Preferred Licenses and/or Certifications None preferred.
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Required Education and Experience Applicant must have completed or be willing to complete a 12-week monitor surveillance/telemetry course from an accredited school of health professions. Preferred Education and Experience At least one year of previous pediatric and/or cardiac health related experience preferred. Performing EKGs, holter/cardiac event knowledge, treadmill stress testing experience preferred. Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Basic knowledge of Cardiac Monitoring Surveillance.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Possible exposure to infectious agents when handling specimens or hazardous materials but potential for personal harm or injury is reduced when proper safety and health precautions are followed.
