The Case Advocate plays a critical role in coordinating patient care, ensuring timely scheduling, maintaining accurate case records, and serving as a liaison between patients, attorneys, referral sources, and clinical staff. The ideal candidate is proactive, dependable, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment while providing exceptional customer service. Essential DutiesResponsibilities Oversee patient scheduling timelines to ensure appointments are booked with the appropriate provider and within required timeframes. Collaborate with Medical Assistants and the Scheduling Team Lead to identify and resolve scheduling discrepancies. Review and confirm insurance policy limits and case-related information. Verify upcoming patient appointments one business day in advance. Communicate with patients regarding appointments, treatment plans, and scheduling needs. Notify attorneys and referral sources when patients decline treatment or discontinue care. Maintain and update patient statuses within tracking logs and internal systems. Ensure patient records and case information remain accurate and up-to-date. Monitor patient progress through the treatment process and escalate issues as needed. Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations. Perform additional administrative duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Minimum 1 year of healthcare, medical office, case management, patient advocacy, or scheduling experience preferred. Strong organizational and multitasking skills. Excellent verbal and written communication abilities. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems and Microsoft Office. Knowledge of personal injury (PI), orthopedic, pain management, or specialty medical practices is a plus. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow processes accurately.
