Dental Treatment & Insurance Coordinator Dentistry for the Entire Family - Fridley, MN Full-Time | Monday-Thursday We are a busy, established dental practice looking for an experienced Dental Treatment & Insurance Coordinator to join our team. This is an administrative dental position focused primarily on treatment coordination, patient financial communication, insurance, and account management rather than traditional reception duties. The ideal candidate understands the business side of dentistry, communicates confidently with patients, is highly organized, and enjoys working collaboratively with both the clinical and administrative teams.
Key Responsibilities Responsibilities may include:
Coordinate doctor checkouts and ensure patients understand recommended treatment and next steps Present treatment plans and clearly communicate estimated costs, insurance benefits, and financial options Schedule treatment and follow up with patients who have unscheduled or incomplete treatment Verify dental insurance eligibility, benefits, frequencies, limitations, and coverage Prepare accurate treatment estimates using insurance information Submit dental insurance claims and necessary supporting documentation Follow up on outstanding, delayed, or denied insurance claims Review EOBs and insurance payments for accuracy Assist with insurance payment posting and reconciliation Assist with daily deposits and other financial or administrative responsibilities Collect patient payments and address account questions when appropriate Maintain accurate documentation within patient accounts Communicate with insurance companies, patients, doctors, and clinical team members to resolve outstanding issues Remain available to assist with patient checkouts, financial questions, insurance questions, and other administrative needs throughout the day Cross-train with other administrative team members to provide coverage and keep the practice running smoothly This position is not primarily a reception role . While everyone helps where needed, the majority of your time will be spent coordinating treatment, working with insurance and patient accounts, and supporting the administrative needs of a busy multi-provider dental practice. What We're Looking For Dental administrative/front-office experience strongly preferred Experience with dental insurance, treatment coordination, claims, or patient financial discussions Comfortable discussing treatment costs and collecting payment Strong understanding of dental terminology and common dental procedures Excellent organization, attention to detail, and follow-through Confident and personable communication with patients Ability to manage multiple priorities without losing track of outstanding tasks Willingness to become cross-trained rather than operating within a single isolated responsibility Reliable attendance and strong personal accountability Team-oriented, approachable, and willing to help when another area needs support Dentrix experience is a plus You do not need to be an expert in every responsibility on day one.
