Dental Treatment Coordinator Minneapolis Dentistry Company Minneapolis, MN Job Details Full-time $22 - $27 an hour 4 hours ago Benefits Paid time off Employee discount Qualifications Availity High school diploma or GED Attention to detail Dentrix Organizational skills Full Job Description Dental Treatment Coordinator Minneapolis Dentistry Company is hiring a warm, organized, and patient-focused Dental Treatment Coordinator to help patients understand their care, coordinate treatment appointments, verify insurance information, discuss financial responsibility, and provide an excellent patient experience. This is a hands-on position for someone who enjoys patient communication, scheduling, organization, dental insurance, and helping patients move forward with recommended care. You will work closely with the doctor, clinical team, and front office to keep patient care coordinated and the schedule productive. Responsibilities Welcome patients and provide a professional, caring experience from the first call through treatment completion. Review treatment recommendations and next steps with patients after the doctor's presentation, following office procedures. Help patients understand appointment needs, treatment timing, insurance information, estimated out-of-pocket costs, deposits, and payment options. Coordinate treatment plans, phased care, follow-up visits, and scheduling. Follow up with patients who have unscheduled or incomplete treatment. Answer phones, schedule and confirm appointments, manage reminders, and help fill schedule openings. Support new-patient intake, patient registration, records requests, and communication with other offices. Verify dental insurance eligibility and benefits according to office procedures. Review deductibles, annual maximums, frequency limitations, benefit percentages, and available insurance history as trained. Prepare patient financial estimates using approved office systems and processes. Collect copays, balances, deposits, and approved payments; provide receipts and document payments accurately. Document patient communication, treatment follow-up, scheduling notes, and financial arrangements accurately in Open Dental or the practice-management system. Communicate patient concerns, clinical questions, financial questions, and treatment barriers promptly to the doctor and appropriate team member. Maintain HIPAA confidentiality and follow all office policies for patient information, payments, refunds, adjustments, and financial arrangements. Participate in morning huddles, team meetings, training, and office improvement efforts. Qualifications Dental treatment-coordination, dental front-office, patient-financial, scheduling, insurance-verification, or healthcare-office experience preferred. Experience explaining treatment plans, financial arrangements, insurance benefits, and patient responsibility is strongly preferred. Familiarity with Open Dental, Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or another dental practice-management system is preferred. Strong phone skills, patient communication, organization, follow-through, and attention to detail. Comfortable discussing patient balances, copays, deposits, payment options, and insurance estimates professionally and respectfully. Able to work independently, follow systems, ask questions when needed, and work well with a small team. High school diploma or equivalent required. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.
