Description Exciting opportunity to join our orthodontic team focusing on customer service, specifically overseeing patient accounts and payments in a fast-paced, efficient, warm and inviting office! Dr. Hyde has been successfully growing the practice at this location since 2009. This is a wonderful rare chance to join our staff in this important position!
Responsibilities Financial Presentations:
Explain treatment costs, insurance coverage, and financing options clearly to patients and parents.
Payment Plans:
Set up customized contracts, collect down payments, and secure signed financial agreements with defined due dates.
Insurance Management:
Verify dental insurance benefits, submit electronic claims, track active claims, and follow up on preauthorizations or denials.
Accounts Receivable:
Monitor outstanding balances, post daily payments, and handle routine messages and calls for overdue accounts.
Record Keeping:
Document all financial arrangements and conversations accurately in the practice management software. Review daily with the doctor any pertinent billing issues to resolve them quickly and efficiently.
Qualifications Experience:
1-3 years of administrative, financial, or customer service experience, ideally within a dental or orthodontic setting. Desire to learn and and progress is a must!
Software Literacy:
good computer and clerical skills are needed as we use cloud-based practice management software and patient messaging portals.
Organization:
High attention to detail with strong record-keeping skills. Thorough documentation of all conversations and understandings regarding patient payment arrangements. Punctuality and energetic and upbeat attitude to contribute to the positive office environment.
Communication:
Strong interpersonal skills to schedule appointments, answer and return phone calls, discuss money comfortably and maintain a welcoming demeanor. Needs a strong ability to get along well with co-workers and contribute to the success of the office. Additional Information Current employee in this position has all duties and responsibilities well outlined and organized and will train to make a smooth transition! Looking to hire asap for 7 hours/day for 4 days a week Mon-Thursday 7:30am-3:30pm. Competitive hourly pay with paid holidays and time off. Every Friday off.
