About Marin Treatment Center Marin Treatment Center (MTC), a Marin County community outpatient behavioral health and Substance Use Disorder clinic, has an opening for a clinician/counselor to join our substance use disorder treatment team. We are located in San Rafael and provide outpatient Medication Treatment for Opioid Use Disorder(MOUD), mental health therapy services, and Trauma Treatment for Marin Residents with Opioid Use Disorder. Marin Treatment Center is Marin County's Opiate Use Disorder Treatment Center specialist since 1976. We work with treatment centers, detox centers, medical clinics, hospitals and physician's groups to stabilize patients and provide ongoing substance use disorder treatment. Marin Treatment Center is seeking a Spanish Bilingual/ Bicultural Master's Level Clinician (AMFT, APCC) to join our trauma-informed Substance Use Disorder Treatment team. The ideal candidate will have at least one year experience providing substance use disorder services in a harm reduction setting (Individual and group therapy), working with underserved and dual diagnosis populations, have knowledge of MediCal and Medicare documentation, and is comfortable working with electronic health records. Experience in telehealth is also a plus. Clinical supervision is provided. Responsibilities include providing individual counseling, telehealth counseling, case management, working collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team, and maintaining knowledge of local community resources. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Provide individual and group counseling services. Conduct biopsychosocial assessments and establish care plans. Deliver evidence-based and trauma-informed interventions. Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation in compliance with agency, county, state, and payer requirements. Coordinate care with medical providers, case managers, community agencies, and referral sources. Participate in multidisciplinary treatment team meetings. Provide crisis intervention and risk assessments as needed. Promote client engagement, retention, and successful treatment outcomes. Support a culturally inclusive and welcoming treatment environment. Qualifications Required Master's degree in Social work, Counseling, Psychology, Marriage & Family Therapy, or related behavioral health field. Registered Associate or independently licensed clinician (ASW, AMFT, APCC, LCSW, LMFT, LPCC, or Psychologist). Fluency in English and Spanish (written and verbal). Minimum of 1 year working in substance use treatment Demonstrated experience working with culturally diverse populations. Knowledge of trauma-informed care principles. Strong clinical documentation and organizational skills. Preferred Familiarity with Medi-Cal documentation requirements. Experience working with those with co-occurring conditions Experience working with underserved and marginalized communities. Knowledge of community resources and referral systems.
