As our Certified Peer Support Specialist, you will provide your assigned caseload individualized, strengths focused, community-based services for the purpose of promoting the development of wellness, self-management, personal recovery, natural supports, coping skills, and self-advocacy skills. You will guide them in the development of independent living skills for housing, employment, and full community inclusion. This is a community-based role that covers Cumberland and Harnett counties . If you love being out and about and seeing clients in the community, you may be a great fit! We provide mileage reimbursement! Schedule Flexible - 40 hours per week. Full-time employees are eligible for medical benefits the first of the month 30 days after hire date. Options for a standard plan and an HSA plan with a $100 initial contribution and up to a $25 per paycheck match. 10 paid holidays and PTO hours which accrue at a rate of 10 hours per month. After 6 months employees are eligible to enroll in our 401(k) plan which has a 4% match. Responsibilities of a Certified Peer Support Specialist Assist clients with self-determination and decision-making Model recovery values, attitudes, beliefs, and personal action to encourage wellness Teach and promote self-advocacy and wellness management Provide linkage to community resources Maintain and submit documentation (treatment plans, WRAP, service notes, service auth requests) Leverage Eleos AI, an innovative clinical documentation tool that reduces note-writing time so you can spend more time focusing on participant care. Qualifications of a Certified Peer Support Specialist Current Peer Support Certification Valid driver's license with good driving record HS diploma or GED Min of 1 year working with the adult Mental Health/Substance Use population, preferably in a community setting Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Electronic Health Records Bilingual preferred but not required Ability to be flexible and adapt to frequent change in work flow based on client need and service structure About Us Tap into your passion at SouthLight.
