Meet with Quality Control Manager, on an as needed basis, to communicate on a variety of subjects but specifically: Safety, Quality, Production, Production Scheduling and Equipment requirements. 2. Maintain assigned areas of responsibility in a clean, neat, orderly manner, so that the work area will reflect a safe and healthful work environment. 3. Maintain QC Lab and Calibration systems to ensure product meets the Customer's and BGF's Requirements. 4. Communicate Quality performance to manufacturing areas to aid in corrective action and continuous improvement. 5. Lead and assist in quality problem investigations, resolutions and dispositions. 6. As needed, walk area of responsibility to determine any corrective actions that may need to be made related to : employee assignments, safety, quality, training or communication. 7. Communicate with customers as needed on quality related issues. 8. 9. 10. 11. Travel to customers or vendors as needed for quality related issues. Maintain, troubleshoot and update all laboratory equipment. Manage lab supplies as needed. Manage supporting work and projects from Process Engineers. 12. Monitor data trends in chemicals, yarn, & fabric properties & report any concerns to the applicable depts. 13. Monitor performance of lab data to specifications. Initiate changes to specifications as applicable. 14. Perform appropriate written documentation related to attendance, job performance, training or employee issues. 15. Perform computer operations as required. 16. Perform any other assignments as directed by the Quality Control Manager.
ENVIRONMENTAL/SAFETY RISK REQUIREMENTS
​ Exposure to fiberglass, fly, dust, finishing fumes or other chemicals. Must be able to wear personal protective equipment as required, based on job assignment.
PREREQUISITES
​ High School diploma or equivalent required BS Degree in Textile Chemistry, Chemical or related Engineering. preferred One year supervisory experience required
