CLINICAL LABORATORY SCIENTIST

(AHCL)

Job Summary:

Performs laboratory analysis of clinical specimens using established procedures. Reviews quality controls, specimen integrity, and instrumentation to ensure accurate and timely results.

Education & Experience:

Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology or related sciences (Required) Two years of experience in all aspects of clinical laboratory work (Required)

Licenses & Certifications:

California Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) license (Required)

Key Responsibilities:

Performs clinical laboratory testing and ensures accurate results. Handles STAT orders and reports critical values within required timeframes. Maintains quality control, instruments, reagents, and laboratory supplies. Follows laboratory procedures, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements. Collects venous and arterial blood samples using proper techniques when required. Verifies patient identification, specimens, and test orders for accuracy. Completes documentation and test order entry accurately. Assists with regulatory survey readiness and laboratory operations. Supervises Laboratory Assistants as needed. Performs other job-related duties as assigned. #Workwolf
