This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to public health through meticulous laboratory testing and analysis. The successful candidate will possess a strong background in LC-MS, Chemistry OR Molecular testing and hold an active California Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) license or CGMBS license.
Responsibilities:
Perform complex chemical analyses on biological samples with precision and accuracy. Operate and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment, ensuring all are calibrated and functioning correctly. Interpret and report test results in a timely manner, adhering to established protocols and quality control standards. Participate in the development and validation of new testing procedures and methodologies. Ensure compliance with all laboratory safety protocols, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and regulatory requirements. Collaborate with other laboratory personnel and healthcare professionals to ensure the highest standards of patient care and test accuracy. Assist in training and mentoring junior laboratory staff as needed. Maintain detailed and accurate records of laboratory activities and findings.
Qualifications:
Active and valid California Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) or CGMBS license is required. Bachelor's degree in Clinical Laboratory Science, Chemistry, or a related field. Proven experience in Mass Spec, Chemistry OR Molecular testing within a clinical laboratory setting. Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail. Excellent problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work independently or as part of a team. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal. Familiarity with laboratory information systems (LIS) and electronic medical records (EMR) is preferred. Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards.
Shift & Benefits:
