Perform complex chemical, biological, hematological, immunologic, microscopic, and bacteriologic tests. Looks for bacteria, parasites, and other microorganisms, tests for drug levels in the blood to show how a patient is responding to treatment.

- Clinical Laboratory Scientist / Medical Technologist (ASCP)
Location:
Wilmington VA Medical Center- Wilmington, DE C ompany: Solvet Federal Contract Opportunity Solvet is seeking ASCP-certified Clinical Laboratory Scientists/Medical Technologists to support the Wilmington VA Medical Center. This is an exciting opportunity to provide laboratory services for our nation's Veterans in a collaborative healthcare environment. The requirement includes multiple shifts. Available Shifts 12:00 PM
- 8:00 PM (Monday-Friday) 3:00 PM
- 11:00 PM (Monday-Friday) 10:30 PM
- 6:30 AM (Sunday night-Thursday night) Responsibilities Perform moderate and high complexity laboratory testing Operate and maintain laboratory instrumentation Perform quality control and quality assurance activities Evaluate specimens and validate results Troubleshoot equipment and testing issues Report critical values and maintain laboratory documentation Utilize the Laboratory Information System (LIS) Ensure compliance with CAP, CLIA, OSHA, and VA policies Qualifications ASCP Certification (MLS, MT, or CLS) Experience in hospital or clinical laboratory settings preferred Strong knowledge of chemistry, hematology, coagulation, urinalysis, and laboratory operations Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team Why Solvet?
