A Clinical Laboratory Scientist analyzes samples of body fluids, tissues, and other substances for diagnostic and research purposes within a medical laboratory or healthcare facility. Perform complex chemical, biological, hematological, immunologic, microscopic, and bacteriologic tests. Looks for bacteria, parasites, and other microorganisms, tests for drug levels in the blood to show how a patient is responding to treatment.

Job Description

Medical Technologist Donalsonville Hospital is looking to immediately hire a Medical Technologist.
Shift:
Monday-Friday 8AM-4:30PM, on call one week a month
Education:
Bachelor's degree & Medical Technologist Certification. Must possess a current Medical Technologist Certification from ASCP, AMT or equivalent certification agency.
Primary duties:
Microbiology (which includes setting up cultures and gram stains), reading MicroScan panels, and performing Flu, Strep, and
COVID-19
testing. Tech will also be responsible for all aspects of quality control in the Microbiology department.
Other duties:
: Analyze blood and other bodily fluids, maintain equipment, perform quality control in other departments of the lab, some phlebotomy is required.
