Job Description
The Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) works collaboratively to improve the quality of patient care and promote desired patient outcomes within the Complex Medical Unit , serving a designated patient population/specialty practice. The CNS functions as a clinical leader within the three spheres of influence - Patient/Client, Nurses and Nursing Practice, and Organization/System, and is an active participant in the nursing leadership team. As an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN), the Clinical Nurse Specialist partners with interdisciplinary teams to advance evidence-based practice, improve quality and patient safety outcomes, support nursing excellence, and provide clinical expertise for patients with complex medical needs.
